Description
Sileks nucleic acid isolation kits provide reliable and reproducible results thanks to specially designed Sileks MagNA™ and SileksMagNA-G™ magnetic nanoparticles and optimized buffer systems. DNA/RNA purification using magnetic particles allows a standardised nucleic acid isolation due to the high absorption capacity of nano particles. The surface of the Sileks nano particles have been optimized for the isolation of DNA/RNA from different sources such as blood, plasma and cell cultures. Isolated DNA and RNA can then be used in PCR as well as in any other molecular biology application (first strand cDNA synthesis, labeling, cloning, sequencing etc.).
Each isolation kit allows for 100 isolations.

The test kit was developed to obtain or concentrate DNA fragments from agarose gels, PCR or other enzymatic processes.The agarose gel is dissolved, the enzymes are denatured and the DNA fragments will bind to the glass fibre matrix in the spin column. Wash buffers (containing ethanol) are used to remove contaminants and a low salt elution buffer is used to recover the purified DNA fragments. Recoveries are 90 - 95 % for PCR clean-up. The test kit was designed specifically for purification of viral DNA/RNA from cell-free samples such as serum, plasma, body fluids, and the supernatant of viral infected cell cultures. The DNA/RNA from the viruses is lysed quickly, the enzymes are denatured and the DNA fragments will bind to the glass fibre matrix in the spin column.
